About us
AMEL International Services Ltd, RC 1190152 is a wholly indigenous company dedicated to the sustainable production and packaging of high-quality foods and beverages. Our products offer healthy nutrition in convenient packages for the urban lifestyles of Nigerians (home and abroad) and the international community.
Our products are classified as the Baking Line and the Breakfast Line. Prominent among these are Icing Sugar, Corn Flour, Baking Soda, Bakery Cocoa, Pure Cocoa Drink, Custard Powder (Milk, Vanilla, and Banana flavours), Natural Honey, etc. All products are NAFDAC certified and produced in-country.
Our concept is imports substitution and backward integration. We replicate moribund products formerly imported into the country with better and more locally sustainable options, thus supporting the Federal governments “made in Nigeria” project.
AMEL International Services Ltd, owners of the trademark AMEL-SUSAN, employs more than 80% local content. Nevertheless, we are preparing to make a disruptive entry into the international markets within the next eighteen months. We currently have distribution channels in neighbouring countries like Ghana and Cameroon.
AMEL International Services is a member of MAN (Manufacturer’s Association of Nigeria) LCCI (Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and in 2021, we became accredited members of The International Trade Council. These Platforms and networks help in facilitation of our business growth and development objectives.
Our growth strategy
We employ imports substitution to achieve backward integration, thus filling the void left by the exit of former food importers. This ensures we have a ready market for our products and a blueprint to develop from.
We shall rely on flexibility and innovativeness in developing and deploying highly acceptable products and packages for the emerging middleclass and youth economy.
We also intend to continually unearth the treasures in ancient native Foods and repackage them into forms that are highly appreciated by urban dwellers and the international community.
To achieve volume, we shall adopt efficient, innovative processing methods and tools that retain the natural essence of our products while also complying with international standards in quality and packaging.
In the future, we shall spread further down the value-chain by taking ownership of the agronomy of our raw inputs towards traceability and sustained organic production as well as ensuring best agricultural practices.
